Jeff Robbins
Jeff Robbins is a former 30 year plus
Associated Press staff photographer and photo editor who worked both
in the United States as well as living in Asia and Latin America. He
lived in Thailand for more than 5 years traveling extensively
throughout the region. He jokes that his area of coverage included
Japan to the North, The Philippines to the East, Australia to the
South and India to the West. Following his time in Thailand he was
moved to Costa Rica where he covered Central and South America.
He finally settled in Phoenix where he
set up a one-man photo bureau for AP and continued traveling for news
assignments when time allowed. After leaving AP he settled with his
wife Marjorie in Payson in 2000.
Jeff has been nominated for several
awards including the Pulitzer Prize and received numerous national
awards as well.
Mr. Robbins has recently returned from
a 12 day river cruise of the Yangtze river in China and will share his
many photographs and thoughts as he speaks on “China Today”, May 14th
for the Lecture Series presented by the Payson Institute of Learning.
